  This is one of my favorite hikes in the area. It seems like it is the perfect distance and the climb is a fairly good workout.
  
  I took my 5 month old puppy on his first hike here. He seemed to enjoy it but kept looking at me like I was crazy for waking uphill for so long. He did stop a couple of times. For older dogs, this seems like it would be the perfect hike.
  
  The only fault I find here is that everyone knows about this hike and it can be crowded (just like Bishop). I do like to find the hidden trails that are less populated.
